E Fir Douglas fir framing and structural solutions are manufactured in the sawmill located on the outskirts of Nelson. The product range includes MSG6, 8, 10 and 12 in green and kiln-dried untreated framing and wides and wet and kiln-dried Tru-Core H1.2 treated product.
The mill also produces large end section beams and industrial / cut of log products.
Under Ranex ownership the mill has fine tuned its operations and now focuses solely on Douglas fir production. This has been achieved through an extensive programme of upgrading equipment and attaining national verification standards.
A positive workforce have adapted to extensive change well, which has also attributed to the mills growth in production.
